ராமா என‌க்கு ஒரு வாட்ச்மேன் போஸ்ட் த‌ர‌க்கூடாதா ? ( நான் உன‌து ச‌ன்னிதியிலேயே ச‌தா ச‌ர்வ‌தா வாச‌லிலே இருப்பேனே !)
என‌க்கு ஒரு வாட்ச்மேன் போஸ்ட் கொடுக்க‌வேண்டும். அப்ப‌டி ஒரு வாட்ச்மேனுக்கு எல்லா சக்தியும் உண்டு. அப்ப‌டி ஒரு ச‌க்தியினால் எல்லா ராக்ஷ‌ஸ‌ர்க‌ளையும் ( காம‌ம், க்ரோத‌ம், லோப‌ம், மோஹ‌ம், ம‌த‌ம், மாத்ஸ‌ர்ய‌ம் என‌ச்சொல்ல‌ப்ப‌டுப‌வை) த்வ‌ம்ச‌ம் செய்துவிடுவேனே !

ராமா ! என‌க்கு ஒரு இல‌ச்சினை த‌ர‌வேண்டும். அதில் ராம‌ ப‌க்தி பொறித்திருக்க‌வேண்டும். ஒரு வாள் வேண்டும். அது ராம‌ நாம‌ மாக‌ இருத்த‌ல் வேண்டும்.

ராம் ப‌க்தி எனும் இல‌ச்சினையையும், ராம‌ நாம‌ம் எனும் வாளையும் வைத்துக்கொண்டு நான் உன‌து வாச‌லில் ப‌ணிபுரியும் காவ‌ல்கார‌னாக‌ ஆக‌வேண்டும்.

ராமா ! என‌க்கு இது த‌ருவாயா ?

Meaning: In this song Sri Thyagaraja pleads with Rama to give him the post of a guard for Raama; symbolically meaning that he always wants to be in Sri rama's sannidhi (in his presence).

He says in the anupallavi, the guard's post should be such that he is empowered to destroy all the demons which are arishadvargas (kama-love, krodha, lobha, moha, mada, matsarya) and since the guard is empowered to do so, he needs such a guard's post.

In the caraNam, he says he should be blessed with the emblem of Ramabhakti, given a sword called Raama Naama (the name of Raama) to perform his guard's job.

dhanyasi Raag

DhanyAsi, an audova Sampoorna Ragha, is usually sung in the morning as well as during ending of a two hour performance.

My mom used to sing a very popular song EKANKENNA MANAKKAVALAI. MY MOM IS NO MORE BUT MY WIFE SINGS THIS SONG. HER VOICE IS NOT AS IT WAS SOME FORTY YEARS AGO BUT STILL TOLERABLE AND I am lucky that I still find the Dhanyasi raag there, though my learned sister may dispute in her mind my statement.
