Revathi

REVATHI RAAG.
It is not that I am unaware or forgetful of previous postings on the Raag Revathi. \
Revathi is such a Raag that it enlivens one's inner emotions, and takes to the borders of what one would like to call the outer dimensions of the Universe of Bhakthi .
Here is one such song by Bombay Jayashree, which I am sure, everyone would have heard but would nevertheless get delighted to listen to again and again.

PURANDHARADASA KIRTHAN .. YADHAVA... YADHUKULA NANDHANA BY BOMBAY JAYASHREE

The conventional and traditional way is enriched by the voice of Dr.M.S.
Nanavathi baduku. Annamacharya kirthan.

I used to often to listen to ISAI PAYANAM www.charulathamani.com
Ms.Anuratha Sriram illustrates remarkably subtly all the nuanaces of carnatic raagas. Here she does the same for Raag Evathi.

Let us now listen to a thillana by visaka hari : The composition is by Lalgudi Jayaraman

BHO SHAMBHO IS THE EVERLASTING KRITHI OF THIS RAAG. YOU MAY LISTEN TO THIS IN A PREVIOUS POSTING OF MINE.

SO ENJOY REVATHI RAAG TODAY.
