THE DIGNITY OF CARNATIC CLASSICAL MUSIC LIES IN ITS TRADITION. AND THIS TRADITION IS ITS SOUL. AND THE SINGER ENJOYS IT AS S(H)E SINGS A RAAGA .

shambhu natanam
Natesa Ashtagam
A Divine Dance of Creation composed by Sage Patanjali.
I am just attempting to render a few stanzas from shambu Natanam. I am not a singer. I may be pardoned if I am not able to keep my breath while rendering this song.

Two Voices reflect same emotion.
This is OS Arun's classical song on Goddess Saraswathi, the bestower of all knowledge.
He starts with SARASWATHI NAMASTHUBYAM and proceeds in the Raag Maand.
What follows is Latha Mangeshkar's immortal song
in "Baabi ki chudiyan."

Even after possibly 4 decades after it was sung, this remains
the evergreen and equally everlasting song in the minds of lovers of classical music.
Even after listening to both the songs several times, I am unable to conclude that both belong to the same raag, albeit similarities in the renditions.
Any viewer may come to rescue ?
